SCART Connections

SCART connections on EU audio-visual (AV) equipment are usually wired as shown below, but, except for the standardised Stereo Audio and Composite Video (CV), and nearly always the Red Green Blue (RGB), other pin functions may vary from those shown.  Note that:

SCART leads cross-wire pin pairs 1 & 2, 3 & 6, and 19 & 20  -  some also cross-wire 17 & 18, which may affect RGB &/or widescreen switching.

The cross-wiring means that if you create a wall-section between two sockets, you will have three sections of lead  -  Kit Item #1 to Wall Socket, Wall Section, and Wall Socket to Kit Item #2  -  and to maintain the cross-wiring, the wall section must also cross-wire the same pin pairs.  For example ...
